I was 28 when I heard “reflection on something that I read or experienced.” Then, “really cool” and “can solve everything” learning models like experiential learning or cognitive apprenticeship inspired me with their potential, especially how they are connected to the real world, learning by doing, or support systems embedded into them. After spending more than 25 years in the traditional education system, I think that was inevitable. But, there was something I was disregarding: the household in which I grew up. Crafty, messy activities, having no technology to spend my time, and my parents’ “experimentation mindset” made me who I am today. Today’s challenges are more complex; being, raising, or educating kids is more complex.

First, iPads, the internet, games, how much screen time, then AI…

Leveraging insights from learning sciences, we see a shift towards methods prioritizing hands-on experiences, mentorship, and the seamless integration of artificial and human intelligence. Adaptive learning tailors educational experiences to individual needs, ensuring every learner finds their path to success. However, it presents the next options with complex algorithms or AI support. It shapes the tasks to create multiple paths and enables a diverse set of skills each time. 🎯 We need to start thinking about the significance of Hybrid Intelligence in creating a more interactive and personalized learning environment, combining AI’s analytical power with the nuanced guidance of human experts. 🤖👩‍🏫
